Peppermint Plains
A simulated American city modeled on 1966, located within the world of All Yesterday’s Parties.
Atmosphere
Vibrant, messy, and alive, Peppermint Plains hums with the imperfect energy of guitars, sweaty clubs, and cigarette smoke. Music pours from every corner, unpolished and loud.
Notable Landmarks
- The Record Shop: A hub for kids chasing imports and where Aster first finds her bandmates.
- The Plaza Club: Sticky floors, busted amps, and the beating heart of the underground scene.
- The Fairground: A half-finished relic, echoing with ghosts of past shows.
Culture
The Plains thrive on live bands and tape-trading. Local teens fight for five minutes on stage, and every night another band rises and falls in the smoke.
Relevance to AYP
The Plains serve as Aster’s escape hatch: the only place where her dream of becoming a rockstar feels real, even if danger is never far away.
